The Washington Post’s wine columnist Dave McIntyre couldn’t help falling for Zin-Phomaniac. Here’s what he had to say in his 8.4.14 column called The Lure of sin zins: “After I stopped gawking… I discovered that the wine was quite good. It hails from Lodi, an area of central California known for its old-vine zinfandels, and features the textbook zin flavors of raspberry and cranberry, with fine texture and concentration.”
The Augusta Chronicle devoted an entire 8.19.14 column to Zin-Phomaniac; reviewer Dennis Sodomka said in part: “I opened the Zin-Phomaniac 2012 with great anticipation…Inky dark in the glass, it opens with aromas of cherry, blackberry and spice. The lush fruit flavors carry over on the palate, mixed with a little vanilla and baking spice. The finish is long and silky. It’s a soft, sexy, fun wine.
